Due to the continued confusion over our production cost saving efforts, we have been forced to make these changes. In an effort to avoid a serious rate increase due to ever-so rising costs we have to endure, understanding of our production changes to avoid a serious rate hike has gone over a majority of our clients heads. Pricing & Production:
As noted before, we changed our production based on 'volume-runs' in '08. This method of production saved us from having to raise our rates substantially due to the very high cost increases of materials, chemistry, utilities, etc.. This method of production while cost saving confused many, and upset several due to the extended turn-time... The alternative was to raise rates - across the board. The following is a change in our pricing and production practice:
There is now a '2-TIER' pricing structure - 'A' & 'B'. The 'B' rates are the current rates being used and will not change from the current pricing. If you choose the 'B' rate, nothing will really change in pricing and production from the way we have been running the past few years.
DEV-2 PROCESSING - Due to the continued decline of demand for our DEV-2 dr5 processing, we have had to make production changes regarding this service. The alternative would be to raise rates for DEV-2 or eliminate it altogether. DEV-2 -SEPIA IS NOW A SPECIALTY SERVICE. There is no rate increase for DEV-2, but there is a 15 roll minimum [DEV2 service only]. Turn-time will be 7~30 days[B]. TIER A or B service will be available. This segment of dr5 is too beautiful to eliminate. Thanks for your understanding.

TIER B - Normal dr5 processing per roll "ECONO-run / 1~4 wks IN-HOUSE" $14.75 [35&120]
TIER A - E6 per roll "1~2 days in house" $10.90 [35&120]
E6 per roll "econo-run 5-10 days in-house" $8.90 [35&120]
TIER A - B&W negs per roll "2~4 days in-house" $12.25 [35&120]
TIER B - B&W negs per roll "econo-run / 1-4 wks in-house" $10 [35&120]
TIER B production: TIER-B EXPLAINED To keep our rates as low as possible, for you - our clients, this method of processing saves us quite a bit of money in production cost and up-keep of our line. The downside to TIER-B is the variable turn time. This will change depending on the time of year and how busy we are. It can vary; from 1 to 4 weeks in house. We have a set volume to produce a run, when that is achieved film is run. Take note of these facts when sending film and choosing TIER-B. B service exists for those on a budget. Turn-time strictly depends on; the time of the year, and when 'you' - the client sends in film. [NOTE: We will not accommodate 'where is my order' calls on B-rate orders. B-rate is a favor to the photo community to those who wish to save money. If the turn-time on B-rate concerns you choose the A-rate service, thanks.]
TIER A production explained: Simply this is our rush service. All film is expedited, barring quality control issues. ONLY film processing costs are subject to TIER A rate changes. If you have any trepidation of the turn-time that might be possible with TIER-B, please choose the A service. If for some reason we can not accommodate an A-rate turn-time, these orders will still be run ASAP, but charged on the B-rate. NOTE: We will not accommodate 'where is my order' calls on B-rate orders. B-rate is a favor to the photo community to those who wish to save money.
