OPTICAL COPY - DUPES
This is a high quality copy service. This service will depend on the availability of some copy-film types. As these films become discontinued you should make yourself familiar with our DIGITAL SILVER / FILM RECORDING service for the best possible quality copy options. There is a minimum for this service.
Currently, original film size is limited to 5x7 at the largest. Film larger must be "contact-printed" to produce a dupe.
While the better quality has shifted to our DIGITALSILVER - filmrecording service, optical copy still has a much valued use.
Optical copy of B&W prints ~ dr5 processed copy of original prints, are as superior as our CRT-DIGITALSILVER output and is less costly per image. The client can even shoot their own art and send the film in for processing. CALL US, we'll show you how!
Enlarged optical internegatives from dr5 chromes will produce hardly any generation loss due to the enhancement dr5 processing offers over standard B&W development. This is the method of choice for contact printers.
Negatives from flat-art is possible by standard negative development but is better archived through our DIGITALSILVER service.
Optical interpositives by the dr5 process is a priceless method of archiving delicate old original negatives creating an almost loss less copy. This method is also very useful for contact printers who want an enlarged copy-negative [interpositive] eliminating several generation loss procedures.
Optical dupes; by dr5, B&W negative or E6. Because of the loss of all the copy and dupe films this service is best done by our DIGITALSILVER services. The quality is actually superior to an optical dupe.
